Its been a little while since I've updated my personal site as well as this blog. I just started a new job as a technical artist earlier this month, and have been getting acclimated to the new gig.
However, I do have some new and exciting things which I will be posting during the first week of April!

Saloon Chairs
This is an environment project I started working on back in October 2015. It is kind of a slow moving project, as I have many other projects ongoing. I did find some time to dedicate to it a couple of days ago and decided to share a little bit of development here...
The chair on the left is the current model I plan to use for the scene. There are some subtle differences from the model on the right. I modeled a new seat with a higher and simpler topology, and retopologized the legs with a softer bevel and added rounded caps to the back of the chair.

Photo-Realistic Female Figure
This is my first entry for my new blog! I plan to update at least once a week, so for anyone who happens to stumble upon this little development blog, please feel free to follow!
For the past year, I have been working on a 3D photo-realistic female model during my free time. I originally started the model in Maya and have since moved on to working in Blender. Here are some screenshots from the Maya scene. The base model is more or less complete, but I still need to do some heavy tweaking on the head and body, as well as a little bit of typology work. I plan to finish this by the end of January, and then I can move on to rigging!
This 3D model was built using reference images from the website http://www.posespace.com/, a great photo reference library for the working artist!
